Attention Appellate filers: Chrome to Discontinue Java Plug-in Support
Google has announced it will discontinue NPAPI support in the Chrome web browser in late 2015. This means the Java plug-in will no longer work in future versions of Chrome. Java is required in order to e-file in appellate courts that have not yet converted to NextGen CM/ECF.
Current Chrome version 42 users may follow the instructions below to configure the plugin to work temporarily:
1. In your URL bar, enter: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi.
2. Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.
3. Click the Relaunch button at the bottom of the configuration page.
NOTE: This process will only allow Chrome to work through September 2015. To avoid issues with e-filing in the future, we recommend using another web browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari) for e-filing in appellate courts that have not converted to NextGen CM/ECF.
