Restoration of Electronic Access to Legacy Case Information
On August 11, 2014, a change was made to the PACER architecture in preparation for the implementation of the next generation of the judiciary's Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system. As a result, the locally developed legacy case management systems in the five courts listed below became incompatible with PACER and electronic access to the docket sheets in closed cases on those systems was disrupted. The judiciary has worked to restore full electronic access to the case information from these systems and, as of October 31st, electronic access for the four affected appellate courts has been restored. Work to restore access for the Central District of California Bankruptcy Court continues and electronic access should be available before the end of the year.
